Contracts Manager

- Previous reinforced concrete experience is essential

- Safety is paramount

- Very good technical knowledge required

- Commercial responsibility targets must be achieved

- Good communicator - feed back negative issues to ensure no future repeat

- Lead, inspire & direct the team

- Number 1 total responsibility

- Very good paper work ability lots of QA & procedure

- Total responsibility to deliver

- Dynamic individual with drive to push and deliver the whole job

- Proactive with ability to deliver rather than list of reasons for failure

- Positive out look

- Only steel fixing is subbed out every thing else by ASL

- Good technical knowledge to lead the team

- Evaluate design and produce an economical plan to build the job

- Decide on false work system and lead the team

- Guide estimators

- Produce and enforce weekly programmes

- Review all drawings

- Guide and obtain false work design

- Order rebar

- Order concrete

- Order plant & material

- Off hire plant

- Hire and fire

- Implement QA and ensure paper work is up dated

- Ensure completion of all ASL standard reporting, daily diary, time sheets, accurate allocation sheets to enable surveyors to calculate cost v value

- Weekly reports to clients including delays and problem

- Good client liaison with ability to deliver and contain all issues

- We have good relations with repeat clients - obviously we need to defend ourselves but we do need to non confrontational

- We have a good team of project managers - whose confidence will have to be won - however the contracts manager I am looking for is more senior
